Canon Cameras
Canon makes a range of cameras from the compact point- and- shoot types to professional high-end DSLRs. The number of camera models available can easily get you confused, so here’s an easy guide to cameras Canon has to offer.
- Canon Ixus – The Canon Ixus is a great choice for the casual photographer looking for an easy-to-use, no- rocket-science, camera for point- and- shoot action. A more experienced photographer will be able to tell if there are some missing features and maybe a few imperfections in the image quality. But if you’re only looking to have an everyday camera to take photos of friends or for travel, this is a great choice for you.
- Canon PowerShot D30 Waterproof Camera – This compact camera is great for the more adventurous traveler. It’s waterproof to up to 25m deep – which is a really great feature for a consumer camera that does not require a specialized housing. An added plus is that it can survive a 2m drop and has a built in GPS to add location information to your photos.
- Canon PowerShot N and N100 – Canon’s N model of the Powershot series features a fun design that has a square-shaped body that you can put any way up and a screen that you can flip up and doubles as a camera stand. While it is not meant to replace your phone or a DSLR, it is a take-anywhere type of camera that is easy to use and can fit in your pocket, but can produce really good, high quality photos for its type. The N100 is a newer model in a rectangular shape. Its more conventional design is made for fun and social photography. It has a second lens at the back of the camera that allows you to take a photo and a selfie at the same time.
