Aimimage at Somerset House’s Summer Series

Aimimage at Somerset House’s Summer Series

Aimimage kit was used recently to capture two stunning concerts at Somerset House as part of their Summer Series, in partnership with American Express.

First, on the 9th of July, electronic duo Goldfrapp took to the stage, supported by five-piece indie band Sloes.

Having previously appeared at the historic, iconic, Somerset House in 2013,  Goldfrapp performed extensively from their latest album, the 2017 release Silver Eye, mixing upbeat and downtempo tracks in a highly visual show. Goldfrapp are soon embarking on a Silver Eye world tour.

The set was captured with Sony FS7 cameras from Aimimage.

Birdy headlined on the 12th July, with support from Irish indie duo Little Hours.

The stage name of young singer-songwriter pianist and guitar player Jasmine van den Bogaerde, Birdy first broke through in 2011 with a cover of Bon Iver’s ‘Skinny Love.’ She has since followed it up with three albums.

For the multi-camera filming of Birdy’s set, Aimimage provided Angineux Optimo Zooms, Arri wireless lens control and Canon ENG controllers.

The Summer Series at Somerset House will return, but in the meantime the space is transformed into an outdoors cinema for Film4’s Summer Screen.
