Aimimage Supports the NFTS’s Diversity Nirvana
Last night’s 2014 NFTS Gala was dazzling and spectacular as some of Britain’s great and diverse on-screen and off-screen talents showed and expressed their commitment to work harder in order to achieve a wider diversity in television, film and games.
Everyone enjoyed the glamorous event and we are honoured to have provided stellar Camera Hire London and were out in full force at the NFTS Fundraiser last night at the Old Billingsgate Fish Market.
The NFTS Galas are always fantastic and glittering and with the help our state-of-the-art technology, every detail of lavish and entertaining moments were captured.
Encouraging Diversity for More Opportunities
The fund-raiser event was in aid of the school to enable greater opportunities for women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, LGBT and people with disabilities to study at the NFTS through scholarships and its outreach programme.
Lenny Henry introduced the event carrying on the pressure he and Baroness Floella Benjamin have been applying for Minister Ed Vaizey to change the BBC license fee to require a greater Diversity within the BBC.
Live auction items have included James Bond costumes, the glasses worn by Sir Ben Kingsley in the film Gandhi and the entire set of signed Harry Potter scripts.
A Letter of Appreciation
“It was a great realisation that as the evening came to a close we really have had a tangible relationship with most if not all the emerging BAME talent in at the event” says Producer Atif Ghani. “Let’s hope this relationship will lead to more interesting work with a real vested interest in profiling the Diversity of British culture.”
“Thank you so much for taking half a table at the NFTS Gala last on Wednesday and joining us in celebrating and championing Diversity in the creative industries. I hope you enjoyed the evening” says NFTS Director Nik Powell on a thank you letter. “Your support has helped raise £220,000 for the NFTS and our students.
