The Cooke Anamorphic/i FF lenses land at Aimimage
The latest addition to Cooke’s extensive array of lenses is the Anamorphic/i FF, a lens that is pushing the evolution of filmmaking even further.
The Cooke Anamorphic/i is a powerhouse range of lenses. These lenses are designed for large format production, demonstrating classic anamorphic characteristics coupled with the classic Cooke Look and bokeh.
The Anamorphic range features eight high-speed focal length lenses, ranging from 32mm to 180mm, each of which is colour-matched for a range of different needs. The coverage circle covers a full 24 x 36 still-size sensor, with 1.8x squeeze, the perfect sweet spot.
The Anamorphic/i FF lenses come equipped with a novel hybrid spherical and cylindrical lens design. This design produces a traditional cinematic quality, worthy of the big screen. These lenses can be characterised by smooth, elliptical bokeh and barely noticeable colour fringing, meaning you can create sensitive images with an extensive amount of dimensionality.
During the production of the Cooke Anamorphic/i FF there is the option to have the lens manufactured with a proprietary coating, which will allow you to add kick flares, bokeh and other aberrations, creating enhanced visual territory.
Better yet, Cooke’s newest range enables cameras to automatically record key lens data for every frame shot, allowing post-production teams to access this data digitally. This data features key information on lens setting, focus distance, aperture and depth of field, streamlining production to save time and increase precision.
The Cooke Anamorphic/i FF lenses are now available to hire from Aiminage, so get in touch to find out more about what these lenses can do.
