Jake Gavin’s Hector, Makes its Way to the Edinburgh International Film Festival
In a press conference announcing this year’s contenders for the 69th EIFF (Edinburgh International Film Festival), Hector, a heartwarming story of a drifter with a tragic past seeking redemption, was announced as one of the hot contenders for the Michael Powell Award for two different categories.
Directed by Jake Gavin, Hector is headlined by Peter Mullan who brilliantly portrayed our homeless hero trying to reconnect with his once affluent life. The movie is also an accurate recounting of Britain’s homeless and drifters.
Co-produced by Aimimage, Hector features the directorial debut of Jake Gavin.
This year’s EIFF will run from June 17th to the 28th and will showcase 136 films from 36 countries.
