Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie In The Cinemas This Month
Mark your calendars everyone because Mrs. Brown is heading to the big screen! Whether you’ve seen its fantastic sitcom or not, this upcoming film is a huge comedy explosion!
You’ve seen how Agnes comically meddled in the lives of her six children. She always looks after her family after the death of her husband Redsner and works at a fruit and vegetable stall in Dublin Market.
Directed by Ben Kellett, this much awaited film version of the award-winning Irish sitcom is set to be released in the UK on June 27th by Universal.
The feisty, foulmouthed matriarch’s return will see her livelihood under threat as her market stall is threatened with closure by a ruthless developer. Brendan O’ Carroll’s comic creation will grace the big screen in a feature length spin off filmed in authentic Dublin locations.
“Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie may not be one for the critics,” acknowledged Christine Langhan, head of BBC Films. “But it’s a very warm and entertaining film. Millions of people love the series and it’s an important part of the BBC family so we’ve worked very hard with the team to make the transition to the big screen.”
