Range Extender Solution

The ERM-2400 LCS is a long-range wireless link designed for ECS devices. It is a point-to-point connection, meaning that only one hand unit can connect to one camera device at a time. The radio connection uses 2.4 GHz spread spectrum technology, providing a robust and reliable connection over long distances. In fact, the typical range for this system is approximately 1,000 meters or 3,280 feet, making it ideal for use in big car chase sequences where the camera is rigged on a moving vehicle.

The ERM-2400 LCS set of radio modules works by extending a LCS/LBUS/EXT (CAN bus) cable connection over the air. This allows for seamless communication between ARRI and cmotion hand units, cameras, and motor controllers, as if they were all physically connected. The wireless range of this system is exceptional, reaching up to 1000 meters or 3280 feet. However, it is important to note that the OCU-1 override function is not supported with the ERM-2400 LCS, as it is not possible to override in hardwired mode. The basic set also comes with adapter cables for easy setup and use.
